Orlando, Fla., May 17th, 2012 — PatientPoint®, a leading provider of care coordination
and patient care management solutions, today announced that Solantic, the largest operator of urgent care centers
in Florida, will be deploying the PatientPoint HealthSync™ Platform to improve patient outreach and access to care.
Solantic has always focused on easy access to quality patient care. Most facilities are open
seven days a week, with extended evening and weekend hours. Building on that focus, Solantic will
introduce the next generation of urgent care services and leverage the PatientPoint HealthSync
Platform to transform the patient experience in and out of the facility, making its services more
convenient and efficient for consumers. Prior to service, patients can go online and search for
Solantic locations, review estimated wait times, request and schedule appointments and pre-register
for their visit. After a visit, Solantic offers a quick and easy check-out
What will be fundamentally unique for patients is the waiting room experience. Patients will no longer
have to wait at a Solantic facility for their appointment. The PatientPoint HealthSync Platform will extend
the Solantic My Spot Virtual Waiting Room, allowing patients to reserve a spot for an appointment.
When it is time for the appointment, patients receive an alert through a secured text or email. On site,
patients can check in using the PatientPoint tablet-based check-in system, eliminating the need for paper and
streamlining the patient flow in the facility.
“The PatientPoint HealthSync Platform will enable us to offer a better customer experience,”
said Paul Dickison, vice president of marketing at Solantic. “This broad functionality not only meets
patients' needs at check-in, but also maximizes convenience even after the visit. As a result,
we are able to make our urgent care centers much more efficient and accessible for our patients,
and provide a better workflow for our employees.”
HealthSync from PatientPoint is a multi-channel patient engagement platform that engages patients in
real time throughout the continuum of care—pre-, post- and at the point of care. As a result, provider organizations,
like Solantic, can streamline the patient registration process, improve financial performance, capture additional
revenue streams and truly enhance the patient experience.
In addition, PatientPoint will integrate directly with Solantic's electronic medical record to ensure seamless
transfer of data. This will increase clinical transparency for the physician during the clinical care episode and
improve patient outcomes.
“We are looking forward to this long-term strategic partnership with Solantic as the company continues
to expand its business and technology capabilities, and improve the coordination and delivery of patient care,”
said Raj Toleti, CEO, PatientPoint. “Since the PatientPoint HealthSync Platform engages and activates the patient
at various touchpoints, such as mobile, web and point-of-service kiosks, we believe we help Solantic achieve its
goals of creating a superior experience for its customers and redefining the care delivery process.”
